Pragmatica interculturale
Argomenti e articolazione del corso
Nel corso saranno introdotte le nozioni di base della linguistica applicata e la sua metodologia di ricerca. Saranno fornite le coordinate essenziali relative alle principali articolazioni della disciplina. Inoltre, sarà proposto un approfondimento sui temi della pragmatica interculturale e della traduzione interlinguistica.
Il corso si concentrerà principalmente sul rapporto tra lingua e cultura nelle sue manifestazioni linguistiche: rappresentazioni del sé e dell'altro,deissi personale, spaziale, temporale, cortesia, ecc.
Obiettivi
Gli studenti apprenderanno le nozioni di base della linguistica applicata, con particolare riferimento ai temi della pragmatica interculturale e della traduzione interlinguistica. Inoltre, saranno apprese le nozioni necessarie per avere accesso alla vasta bibliografia della ricerca linguistica applicata

Colloquio orale, costituito da una serie di domande sul programma d’esame. Le risposte saranno valutate sulla base dei seguenti criteri di valutazione: pertinenza rispetto al quesito, rigore terminologico, esaustività, completezza, capacità di rielaborazione e di sintesi, capacità di argomentazione

Course title
Intercultural Pragmatics
Topics and course structure
During the course, the basic notions of applied linguistics and of its methodology of research will be illustrated. Students will be introduced to the subfields of the discipline. In particular, the course will focus on the topics of intercultural pragmatics and interlinguistic translation. The course will focus mainly on the relationship bewteen language and culture in its linguistic expressions: representation of the Self and the Other, personal, spatial, temporal deixis, politeness, etc.

Objectives
Students will become familiar with the basic notions of applied linguistics, in particular in the fields of intercultural pragmatics and of interlinguistic translation. Students will also acquire the notions needed to access the vast literature in the field of applied linguistics |

Assessment methods
Oral examination, based on questions about the course program. Answers will be graded on the basis of the following criteria: relevance, correct use of technical terminology, completeness, writing and argumentative skills
