Obiettivi
Le finalità dell’internato sono quelle di:
Fornire allo studente esperienza diretta della gestione di pazienti con nefropatie acute e croniche e portatori
di trapianto renale, Opportunità di avvicinarsi e conoscere una importante branca della medicina interna
Favorire lo sviluppo di una mentalità scientifica (utile nel processo formativo del medico e successivamente
nella pratica professionale)
Possibilità di acquisire una metodologia scientifica intesa come passaggio dalla fase di ideazione a quella
sperimentale ed alla elaborazione e discussione critica dei risultati
Contenuti sintetici
Lo studente affiancherà il medico-tutore durante la sua giornata lavorativa nei diversi settori del reparto (degenza
nefrologica e ambulatorio)

Lo studente affiancherà il medico-tutore durante la sua giornata lavorativa nei diversi settori del reparto (degenza
nefrologica e ambulatorio). In particolare, vedrà come raccogliere accuratamente l’anamnesi di un paziente
nefropatico, l’esame obiettivo con particolare riguardo ai reni e alle vie urinarie; conoscerà le principali sindromi
nefrologiche e gli accertamenti necessari per raggiungere una diagnosi corretta.
Prerequisiti
Attività a scelta per studenti a partire dal 4° anno di corso
Modalità didattica
Frequenza in reparto e in ambulatorio. Visite in ambulatorio

The aim of the internship is:
to provide a direct experience of management of patients with acute and chronic renal diseases, including
renal transplant patients, to the student
to have the opportunity to approach an important branch of internal medicine
to offer the possibility to approach the research activity
to favor the development of a scientific mentality and the acquisition of a scientific methodology
Contents
The student will flank the tutor physician during his/her daily work in the different sections of the Department
(nephrological ward and outpatient clinic)
Detailed program
The student will flank the tutor physician during his/her daily work in the different sections of the Department
(nephrological ward and and outpatient clinic). He(she) will learn how to collect the medical history, to perform a
physical examination with particular reference to the kidneys and the urinary tract; he(she) will know the main
nephrological syndromes and the diagnostic tests to reach a correct diagnosis
Prerequisites
Activity for medical students starting from the 4th year of course of Medicine and Surgery
Teaching form
Attendance in the clinical wards and in the outpatient clinic.
