Course Presentation
PhD students acquire the scientific methods of government and public health management. Specifically, the course is aimed at providing high skills to contribute to the development of research methodology in all fields of public health management.
Objectives to acquire:
- solid theoretical foundations relating to transversal and fundamental disciplines for research in the field of public health, such as epidemiology; general, medical and social statistics; outcomes research; health economics and econometrics;
- ability to apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases of evaluation of public health systems and services.
The training project includes:
* the acquisition of advanced knowledge of the research area chosen by the student;
* preparation for updating, analyzing and communicating the results;
* the ability to use the most suitable tools for the production of scientific evidence in the research field;
* the ability to conceive and develop research projects;
* the ability to apply and monitor scientific research to practical cases.
