Obiettivi

Il corso ha l’obiettivo di fornire le basi conoscitive e gli strumenti pratici clinici essenziali per poter riconoscere segni e sintomi delle principali malattie gastroenterologiche ed epatologiche, verificare le possibili diagnosi differenziali, interpretare gli esami di laboratorio e strumentali e proporre un programma terapeutico e di follow-up. Vengono inoltre forniti gli strumenti per apprendere i concetti di malattia limitata a un organo, a un apparato o a interessamento sistemico a partire da uno o più meccanismi alla base della malattia stessa.

Principi diagnostici ed approccio terapeutico di 1) Epatiti acute e croniche; 2) ittero ; 3) malattie colestatiche; 4) cirrosi epatica e sue cause e complicanze; 5) malassorbimenti (MICI, celiachia); 6) malattie pancreatiche acute e croniche.

SINDROME DA MALASSORBIMENTO E MALATTIE INFIAMMATORIE CRONICHE INTESTINALI

- Conseguenze del malassorbimento

- Malattia celiaca e sue complicanze

- Colite ulcerosa

- Malattia di Crohn

- Colite indeterminata e colite microscopica

- Malattie associate extra-intestinali e complicanze delle malattie infiammatorie croniche intestinali

EPATITI ACUTE E CRONICHE; EPATITE FULMINANTE

- Cause virali e non virali

- Epatopatia alcolica

- Epatopatie autoimmuni e colestatiche

- Epatopatie metaboliche (Emocromatosie e M. Wilson) e malattia epatica da grasso

- Danno epatico da farmaci

CIRROSI EPATICA E IPERTENSIONE PORTALE

- Cirrosi compensata e scompensata

- Complicanze della cirrosi e dell’ipertensione portale: ascite, peritonite batterica spontanea, sindrome epato-renale, varici esofago-gastriche, encefalopatia epatica

- Storia naturale della cirrosi epatica e trapianto di fegato

NEOPLASIE DEL FEGATO

- Neoplasie primitive e secondarie

- Neoplasie benigne: emangioma, iperplasia nodulare focale e adenoma

Aims

The primary goal of the course is to provide students with the pathophyisiologic basis to understand digestive, disease, in order to make correlations between the inner mechanisms of diseases and their clinical expression. The student will be able to interpret symptoms, signs and laboratory tests and radiologic and endoscopic investigations. Tools to understand concepts of organ-limited disease, system involvement or systemic disease will be provided.

Contents

Coeliac disease, Crohn disease, ulcerative colitis. Acute and chronic hepatitis, chronic cholestatic diseases, liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, jaundice. Acute and chronic pancreatitis

ACUTE AND CHRONIC HEPATITIS, ACUTE LIVER FAILURE, CIRRHOSIS AND COMPLICATIONS

- Overview of Liver Cirrhosis

- Viral hepatitis

- Alcoholic Liver Disease and Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

- Hemochromatosis and Wilson Disease

- Autoimmune Hepatitis, Primary Biliary Cholangitis and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis
