Il modulo di lingua si prefigge l’approfondimento della capacità ricettiva della lingua scritta e orale (Sebbene questo aspetto del corso sarà limitato a causa dell'impatto di Covid-19 sull'approccio pedagogico), praticando le varie strategie di lettura necessarie per affrontare testi di argomento pertinente alle discipline studiate nel corso di laurea magistrale in Economia e Finanza. Il modulo di lingua mira inoltre ad approfondire le basi linguistiche acquisite nel triennio, con particolare attenzione al linguaggio specialistico economico, finanziario e giuridico.

Il modulo Lingua mira a sviluppare le abilità linguistiche dello studente, sia ricettivo che attivo. Mira a mettere in pratica le varie strategie di lettura necessarie per trattare testi su argomenti rilevanti per le discipline studiate nei Master in Economia e Finanza. Il modulo linguistico mira inoltre ad approfondire le competenze linguistiche acquisite nel triennio di primo grado, con particolare attenzione alla lingua specifica di business, finanza e diritto. Lo studente sarà in grado di fornire argomenti di attualità in economia e finanza, utilizzando e sviluppando il vocabolario appropriato.

L'obiettivo principale è migliorare le capacità comunicative in inglese, rafforzando il vocabolario settoriale e le strategie di comunicazione che facilitano la comunicazione nel mondo finanziario. Molto peso viene dato alla comprensione delle attuali questioni finanziarie e sociali al fine di stimolare il pensiero e la conversazione e migliorare la produzione orale attraverso l'uso corretto del vocabolario (sebbene questo aspetto del corso sarà limitato a causa dell'impatto di Covid-19 sul approccio pedagogico). Il modulo linguistico offre un approccio tematico all'acquisizione di strategie di comunicazione in settori specializzati. Gli studenti devono gestire il vocabolario particolarmente ricco e vario che si trova tipicamente in queste aree tematiche specifiche delle scienze economiche, in modo efficace e appropriato.

Lezioni frontali. Lezioni in inglese. Letture, ascolto, comprensione, discussioni di temi economici. Insieme allo svillupo del vocabolario specifico.

Esame scritto: (60 minuti per 60 domande), basato sui brani studiati durante il corso.

Dispensa: ‘Images of a Changing Europe’ R. Anderson. Brani raccolti dalla stampa inglese (BBC, The Guardian). Con esercizi ci comprensione e lessico specialistico.

The language module aims to deepen the receptive ability of the written and oral language (Although this aspect of the course will be limited due to the impact of Covid-19 on the pedagogical approach), practicing the various reading strategies necessary to deal with texts of topic pertinent to the disciplines studied in the master's degree program in Economics and Finance. The language module also aims to deepen the linguistic bases acquired in the three-year period, with particular attention to the specialized economic, financial and legal language.

The Language module aims to develop the student’s linguistic skills, both receptive and active. It aims to practise the various reading strategies necessary to deal with texts on topics relevant to the disciplines studied in the Masters of Economics and Finance. The language module also aims to deepen the language skills acquired in the three-year period of the first degree, with particular attention to the specific language of business, finance and law. The student will be able provided with topical issues of economics and finance, using and developing the appropriate vocabulary.

The main objective is to improve the communicative skills in English, strengthening the sector-specific vocabulary and communication strategies that facilitate communication within the financial world. Much weight is given to the understanding of current financial and social issues in order to stimulate thought and conversation and improving oral production through the proper use of vocabulary (although this aspect of the course will be limited due to the impact of Covid-19 on the pedagogical approach). The language module offers a thematic approach to the acquisition of communication strategies in specialized fields. The students need to manage the particularly rich and varied vocabulary that is typically found in these specific subject areas of economic sciences, in an effective and appropriate manner.

For the module Language Master is required to level B2 or equivalent.

Classes held in English. There will be a mixture of listeningss, readings with comprehension work and exercises on Business English.

Written exam: (60 minutes). The exam consists of 60 questions on the texts studied during the course.

A collection of articles and exercises taught during the lessons will be available at the end of the course. The title of the collection is; Robin Anderson, 'Images of a Changing Europe'.
