Argomenti e articolazione del corso
Il corso di Lingua giapponese 1 mira a fornire le basi per l’apprendimento della lingua giapponese a livello elementare. Al termine del corso lo studente acquisisce competenze di base nella grammatica, nel vocabolario, nella lingua parlata e nella scrittura attraverso le lezioni frontali del docente italiano e del docente madrelingua. È in grado di condurre semplici conversazioni e di leggere e scrivere testi di base. La frequenza e l’attiva partecipazione alle lezioni sono altamente raccomandate.
Obiettivi
Con questo insegnamento, con una costante e partecipata frequenza alle lezioni e alle esercitazioni connesse al corso, si intendono PROMUOVERE i seguenti apprendimenti, in termini di:
Conoscenza e comprensione
Gli studenti acquisiranno conoscenze solide e sistematiche dei fondamenti della lingua giapponese a livello elementare.
Capacità di applicare conoscenze e comprensione
Gli studenti impareranno a rielaborare in autonomia le strutture grammaticali e i vocaboli appresi nel corso delle lezioni previste dal programma, nonché a riconoscere e leggere un numero sufficiente di kanji per la comprensione di testi redatti in lingua giapponese a un livello elementare.
Per quanto riguarda l’autonomia di giudizio e il rafforzamento delle abilità comunicative, l’insegnamento sollecita gli studenti a formulare in modo indipendente la propria opinione e ad argomentarla in modo efficace. La capacità di apprendimento è stimolata attraverso la partecipazione attiva alle lezioni e la discussione dei materiali forniti dal docente.

Programma e bibliografia per i frequentanti
Il corso mira a fornire le basi del giapponese elementare scritto e parlato. Il programma prevede una parte di insegnamento teorico volto all’analisi degli aspetti grammaticali della lingua giapponese (prime 9 unità del libro di testo). Le lezioni del docente italiano sono integrate da esercitazioni con un docente madrelingua. Al termine del corso, lo studente è tenuto a conoscere tutti i vocaboli e tutti i kanji (in lettura) che compaiono nelle unità del manuale. È previsto altresì l’apprendimento in scrittura di 101 kanji del manuale.

Modalità d'esame
L’esame di fine corso si articola in una prova scritta e in due prove orali.
La prova scritta, propedeutica all’orale e della durata di 2 ore, prevede: a) esercizi di scrittura (kaku kanji) e lettura (yomu kanji) di kanji e katakana; b) esercizi di grammatica (particelle di caso, scelta di verbi, correzione di errori, ricostruire frasi, tabelle coniugazione di verbi e aggettivi); c) traduzione di un breve brano (7-8 righe) dal giapponese in italiano (con dizionari cartacei). La prova è valutata in trentesimi. Per accedere all’orale, lo studente deve riportare una votazione di almeno 15/30 (senza i 2 punti bonus). Per l'esame scritto, bisogna saper leggere tutti i kanji presenti nel manuale (compresi quelli degli esercizi e del libro degli esercizi) e saper scrivere i kaku kanji presenti nella sezione yomikakihen delle unità in programma.
La prova orale consiste in: autopresentazione, breve conversazione in giapponese, lettura di uno o più testi (senza furigana) che si trovano all’interno delle unità in programma (compresi i dokkai delle sezioni yomikakihen del manuale); domande sui brani letti (bisogna rispondere senza guardare il libro) (con il docente madrelingua); domande sulle strutture grammaticali studiate, lettura e traduzione dei brani extra (senza furigana) caricati nella pagina e-learning e traduzione orale di alcune frasi dall’italiano in giapponese (con il docente italiano).
Il voto finale dell'esame deriva dalla media delle votazioni riportate nella prova scritta e nelle due prove orali. Il voto della prova scritta rimane valido qualora lo studente decida di rifiutare il voto finale. Lo scritto e l’orale possono essere sostenuti in appelli diversi; entrambe le prove devono comunque essere sostenute e superate entro l’appello di febbraio 2024, pena l’annullamento del voto riportato nella prova scritta.
Criteri di valutazione: valutazione del grado di assimilazione dei contenuti grammaticali, della correttezza e ricchezza lessicale, della conoscenza dei caratteri; capacità di applicazione delle nozioni acquisite, uso corretto della terminologia.

Topics and course structure
The Japanese Language 1 course aims to provide the foundation for learning the Japanese language at the elementary level. At the end of the course, the student acquires basic skills in grammar, vocabulary, spoken language and writing through face-to-face lectures by the Italian teacher and the native speaker. He/she is able to conduct simple conversations and read and write basic texts. Attendance and active participation in class are highly recommended.
Objectives
Through this teaching, with constant and participative attendance of the lectures and exercises associated with the course, we intend to PROMOTE the following learning, in terms of:
Knowledge and understanding
Students will acquire solid and systematic knowledge of the fundamentals of the Japanese language at the elementary level.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
Students will learn to independently rework the grammatical structures and vocabulary learned in the lessons covered in the syllabus, as well as to recognize and read a sufficient number of kanji for understanding texts written in Japanese at an elementary level.
With regard to independent judgment and the strengthening of communication skills, teaching urges students to independently formulate their own opinion and argue it effectively. Learning skills are stimulated through active participation in lectures and discussion of materials provided by the lecturer.

Programme and references for attending students
The course aims to provide the basics of elementary written and spoken Japanese. The program includes a theoretical teaching part aimed at analyzing grammatical aspects of the Japanese language (first 9 units of the textbook). Lectures by the Italian teacher are supplemented by exercises with a native speaker. At the end of the course, the student is expected to know all the vocabulary and all the kanji (in reading) that appear in the textbook units. Learning 101 kanji from the textbook in writing is also expected.

For international incoming students, an English bibliography will be provided and they will be given the opportunity to take the exam in English.
Programme and references for non-attending students

Assessment methods
The end-of-course examination consists of a written test and two oral tests.
The written test, which is preparatory to the oral test and lasts two hours, includes: a) writing exercises (kaku kanji) and reading (yomu kanji) of kanji and katakana; b) grammar exercises (case particles, choice of verbs, correction of errors, reconstructing sentences, conjugation tables of verbs and adjectives); c) translation of a short passage (7-8 lines) from Japanese into Italian (using paper dictionaries). The test is graded in thirtieths. To take the oral exam, the student must score at least 15/30 (without the 2 bonus points). For the written exam, it is necessary to be able to read all the kanji in the manual (including those in the exercises and exercise book) and to be able to write the kaku kanji in the yomikakihen section of the units in the syllabus.
The oral test consists of: a self-presentation, a short conversation in Japanese, reading of one or more texts (without furigana) found in the syllabus units (including the dokkai of the yomikakihen sections of the manual); questions on the passages read (you have to answer without looking at the book) (with the mother tongue teacher); questions on the grammatical structures studied, reading and translation of the extra passages (without furigana) uploaded on the e-learning page and oral translation of some sentences from Italian into Japanese (with the Italian teacher).
The final exam mark is derived from the average of the marks obtained in the written test and the two oral tests. The grade for the written test remains valid if the student decides to decline the final grade. The written and oral examinations may be taken in different appeals; however, both examinations must be taken and passed by the February 2024 appeal, otherwise the mark given in the written exam will be cancelled.
Assessment criteria: assessment of the degree of assimilation of grammatical contents, correctness and lexical richness, knowledge of characters; ability to apply the acquired notions, correct use of terminology.
