- Introduction to OB research: theory building, levels of analysis, criterion variables, and major theoretical paradigms
- The search for Individual Dispositions and the Person-Situation Debate
- Affect and Emotions in the Workplace
- Motivation processes
- Bounded rationality, heuristics, and behavioral government
- Group and teams: from structure to processes
- Conflict, negotiation, and the dynamics of trust and cooperation
- Leadership emergence and effectiveness
- Organizational culture and diversity
- Organizational change and transformation
Objectives of the program:
This course aims to review exemplary studies in Organizational Behaviour to gain a comprehensive understanding of the field evolution, as well as of research concepts and designs that might be used to generate new knowledge. We will also engage in identifying new research questions and developing ways and methods to address them. Finally, by engaging in presentations and class discussions, participants will have the opportunity to develop skills (e.g. presentation, debate, writing) that are essential to their academic careers
