Obiettivi
Lo studente imparerà:
- a utilizzare correttamente i termini relativi alle principali malattie neoplastiche;
- i test, le corrette procedure diagnostiche e le linee guida per la cura dei principali tumori;
- i principali meccanismi d'azione dei farmaci antineoplastici.

Nel corso del V anno, verranno trattate le seguenti tematiche:
- Terminologia, staging e cenni di terapia;
- Tumore della mammella;
- Melanoma;
- Tumore del polmone SCLC;
- Tumore del pancreas esocrino;
- Cure simultanee in oncologia.
Prerequisiti
Lo studente deve conoscere le basi della biologia molecolare e cellulare che abbiano un impatto clinico sulle malattie oncologiche.
Modalità didattica
Le lezioni verranno erogate in modalità “in presenza”, salvo successive diverse disposizioni ministeriali legate all’emergenza pandemica

Aims
The student will learn:
- to correctly use the terms related to the main neoplastic diseases;
- the tests, the corect diagnostic procedures and the guide lines for the treatment of the main cancers;
- the main action mechanisms of antineoplastic drugs.
Contents
Main type of cancers
Detailed program
During the 5th year the following topics will be presented:
- Terminology, staging and hints of therapy;
- Breast cancer;
- Melanoma;
- SCLC lung cancer;
- Tumor of the exocrine pancreas;
- Simultaneous treatment in oncology.
Prerequisites
Student must be knowledgeable about molecular and cellular biology, which are strictly connected to oncologic diseases.
Teaching form
Lectures will be performed in attendance, subject to any ministerial changes following the COVID pandemic situation
