Obiettivi formativi
Il corso si propone di insegnare i principali istituti del diritto romano.
Contenuti sintetici
Il corso ha per oggetto lo studio della storia del diritto pubblico e del diritto privato romano dalla fondazione di Roma fino all’età giustinianea.
Programma esteso
Il diritto pubblico romano riguarda la fondazione di Roma e i re, la repubblica, il principato, il tardo Impero Romano e Giustiniano. Particolare attenzione sarà dedicata alle fonti del diritto romano (specialmente Codici Gregoriano ed Ermogeniano, Codice Teodosiano, Legge delle citazioni, Fragmenta Vaticana, Leggi romano-barbariche, Codici di Giustiniano, Digesto), al diritto criminale, ai giuristi, alle magistrature, ai funzionari e agli imperatori.
Per il diritto privato romano saranno presi in considerazione i seguenti istituti: Persona e Famiglia, Diritti reali (Proprietà, Usufrutto, Uso, Abitazione, Servitù, Emphyteusis, Superficies), Obbligazioni, Testamento e legati, Introduzione al processo.
Prerequisiti
Nessuno.
Metodi didattici
Lezioni frontali. Nel periodo di emergenza Covid in parte in presenza in parte in diretta tramite webex.
Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Esame orale.

Contents
Introduction to Roman Public and Private Law is a description of Roman constitutional Law and Roman Private Law from the birth of Rome to the death of Emperor Justinian.
Detailed program
The roman public law concern the birth of Rome and the Kings, the Republic, the Principate, the Later Roman Empire and Justinian. Particular attention is paid to the sources of law (especially Gregorian and Hermogenian Codes, Theodosian Code, Law of Citations, Fragmenta Vaticana, Roman Barbarian Laws, Justinian Codes, Digest), the criminal procedures, the Jurists, the Magistratures, the Officials and the Emperors.
About the Roman private law, the attention will focus on: Persons and Family; Property Rights (Property, Usufruct, Use, Housing, Easements, Emphyteusis, Superficies); Obligations; Will and Legacies; Introduction to the trial.

None.
Teaching methods
Lectures. In the Covid emergency period partly on site, partly live through webex.
