Breve descrizione

  • laboratorio cartografia tematica: 20 ore, 2 CFU

Periodo di erogazione

Primo semestre

  • Geologia ambientale e gestione del territorio

Secondo semestre

  • Gestione delle emergenze idrogeologiche
  • Laboratorio cartografia tematica

Short description

The course consists of two modules:

  • Environmental geology and land management
  • Management of hydrogeological emergencies.

the first part deals with the analysis of geological resources, their sustainable use, and the tools of land resource management will be analyzed, taking into account the relationship between man and land.
In the second module, we will move on to operational land management, with special reference to the interference between man and geological processes. The risk management cycle will be analyzed with particular reference to hydrogeological and seismic risk. In this context, the legislative context in which geological risk management operates will be analyzed and framed.

There will be 20 hours in computer lab where spatial data management (GIS) tools will be used to create thematic mapping for land use and emergency planning (civil protection plans).

CFU / Hours

  • Environmental geology and land management: 48 lecture hours, 6 CFUs.
  • Hydrogeological emergency management: 32 lecture hours, 4 CFUs.
  • Thematic mapping laboratory: 20 hours, 2 CFUs

Teaching period

First semester:

  • Environmental geology and land management
    Second semester:
  • Hydrogeological emergency management
  • Thematic mapping laboratory

Final grade calculated as a weighted average of the grades of the two modules
