Obiettivi

Lo studente dovrà apprendere le nozioni fondamentali sulle principali applicazioni cliniche delle indagini scintigrafiche e PET nello studio delle patologie cardiovascolari, respiratorie, dell’apparato gastroenterico, urogenitale, locomotore, del sistema nervoso centrale, dell’apparato endocrino, delle patologie infiammatorie/infettive, delle patologie pediatriche ed oncologiche. Lo studente dovrà inoltre apprendere le nozioni di base relative ai trattamenti terapeutici in medicina nucleare (terapia radiometabolica, radiorecettoriale, con radioligandi e trattamenti di radioembolizzazione).

Cenni di clinica, percorso diagnostico ed indicazioni cliniche delle indagini scintigrafiche e PET in ambito cardiovascolare, respiratorio, gastroenterico, urogenitale, locomotore, neurologico, endocrinologico, infettivologico, pediatrico ed oncologico. Indicazioni cliniche alle terapie con radiofarmaci (terapia radiometabolica, radiorecettoriale, con radioligandi e trattamenti di radioembolizzazione)

Programma esteso

Indagini scintigrafiche per lo studio della cardiopatia ischemica, della patologia dell’apparato respiratorio (embolia polmonare acuta e cronica), dell’apparato gastroenterico (tumori neuroendocrini gastro-entero-pancreatici), dell’apparato urogenitale (studio dell’idronefrosi ostruttiva, dell’ipertensione nefro-vascolare, del rene trapiantato, del reflusso vescico-ureterale, pielonefriti, malattie malformative del rene), dell’apparato locomotore (protesi articolari complicate, patologia scheletrica non oncologica, oncologica primitiva e secondaria), del sistema nervoso centrale (studio dei disturbi del movimento e delle malattie neurodegenerative), del sistema endocrino (patologia tiroidea non oncologica ed oncologica, patologie delle ghiandole paratiroidi, patologia delle ghiandole surrenaliche), studio dei processi infiammatori/infettivi (infezioni delle protesi articolari, piede diabetico, endocarditi, vasculiti, spondilodisciti, febbre di origine sconosciuta, sarcoidosi sistemica e cardiaca), delle patologie in ambito pediatrico (linfomi, sarcomi, neuroblastoma), delle patologie oncologiche (diagnostica oncologica PET, ricerca del linfonodo sentinella nel tumore della mammella, del melanoma e dei tumori ginecologici). Principi generali dell'uso dei radiofarmaci a scopo terapeutico; cenni di terapia radiometabolica dei tumori tiroidei, dei tumori neuroendocrini, del tumore della prostata.

Aims

The student will have to learn the fundamental notions on the main clinical applications of scintigraphic and PET investigations in the study of cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urogenital, locomotor, central nervous system, endocrine system, inflammatory/infectious pathologies, pediatric and oncological pathologies. The student will also have to learn the basic notions relating to therapeutic treatments in nuclear medicine (radiometabolic, radioreceptor therapy, with radioligands and radioembolization treatments).

Contents

Clinical notes, diagnostic path and clinical indications of scintigraphic and PET investigations in the cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urogenital, locomotor, neurological, endocrinological, infectious diseases, pediatric and oncology fields. Clinical indications for therapies with radiopharmaceuticals (radiometabolic, radioreceptor therapy, with radioligands and radioembolization treatments)

Detailed program

Scintigraphic investigations for the study of ischemic heart disease, pathologies of the respiratory system (acute and chronic pulmonary embolism), of the gastrointestinal system (gastro-entero-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors), of the urogenital system (study of obstructive hydronephrosis, nephro-vascular hypertension, of the transplanted kidney, of vesicoureteral reflux, pyelonephritis, malformative diseases of the kidney), of the musculoskeletal system (complicated joint prostheses, non-oncological skeletal pathology, primary and secondary oncological), of the central nervous system (study of movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases), of the endocrine system (non-oncological and oncological thyroid pathology, pathologies of the parathyroid glands, pathology of the adrenal glands), study of inflammatory/infectious processes (infections of joint prostheses, diabetic foot, endocarditis, vasculitis, spondylodiscitis, fever of unknown origin, systemic and cardiac sarcoidosis), pediatric pathologies (lymphomas, sarcomas, neuroblastoma), oncological pathologies (PET oncology diagnostics, search for the sentinel lymph node in breast cancer, melanoma and gynecological tumors) . General principles of the use of radiopharmaceuticals for therapeutic purposes; notes on radiometabolic therapy of thyroid tumors, neuroendocrine tumors, prostate cancer.
