Obiettivi

Conoscere dettagliatamente tutte le fasi del percorso diagnostico- terapeutico del carcinoma della mammella dalla diagnosi preclinica al monitoraggio post-terapeutico

Contenuti sintetici

Inquadramento clinico, aspetti patologici, diagnostici e terapeutici delle neoplasie maligne della mammella.

Programma esteso

Epidemiologia. Approfondimenti di patologia. Anatomia patologica: classificazione e stadiazione. Diagnostica clinica e strumentale.

Diagnostica per immagini: ruolo dello screening. La strategia terapeutica: multidisciplinarietà di approccio. Il ruolo della chirurgia, della radioterapia e della chemioterapia. Modalità terapeutiche innovative e sperimentali.

La terapia palliativa degli stadi avanzati

Iscrizione al quinto anno del Corso di Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia e successivi

Modalità didattica

Tre seminari multidisciplinari di tre ore ciascuno con dibattito fra docenti di diverse discipline

Knowing in detail all phases of the diagnostic and therapeutic path of breast cancer, from preclinical diagnosis to post-therapeutic monitoring

Contents

Clinical classification, pathological aspects, diagnosis and treatment of breast malignancies.

Detailed program

Epidemiology. Pathology. Pathological anatomy: classification and staging. Clinical and instrumental diagnosis. Diagnostic imaging: role of screening. The therapeutic strategy: a multidisciplinary approach. The role of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Innovative and experimental therapeutic modalities. The palliative treatment of advanced stages

Medical Student at 5th year and over

Three multidisciplinary workshop with discussion among teachers of different disciplines
