The course will describe the theoretical hypotheses and technological platform underlying the development of stem cell-based advanced therapies for the cure of neurodegenerative diseases. Through interactive seminars, the students will be guided through the scientific path that has led, from the preclinical studies to the implementation of phase 1 clinical trial for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Multiple Sclerosis based on the transplant of human neural stem cells.
