Obiettivi

Applying Knowledge and Understanding
The student will be able to independently perform, appropriate to their level of training and under supervision, the main technical and healthcare procedures in various diagnostic methods, from patient admission to image processing and archiving.
Making Judgments
The student will be able to evaluate the appropriateness of the procedures adopted, ensuring patient and operator safety and ensuring the quality of the examination.
Communication Skills
The student will be able to communicate effectively with the patient and collaborate with the team during diagnostic activities.
Learning Skills
The student will develop the ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with internship experience, progressively consolidating their professional skills.

Contents

During the second year of internship, students must be able to independently conduct diagnostic CT scans in the angiography room and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, understanding the operation of the respective equipment and the image processing and archiving methods. They will also be able to apply radiation protection regulations for patients and staff.

Detailed program

Computed Tomography and Angiography: the reception of the patient and the collection of his medical data and informed consent, the correct positioning of the patient, the different diagnostic protocols; the execution of the investigation; processing and archiving of produced images.
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance: the reception of the patient, the collection of his medical data and information for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance examination; absolute and relative contraindications for the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance examination; the correct positioning of the patient, the examination settings: coils, sequences, the execution of the examination; the processing and archiving of images.
