Obiettivi formativi
Marketing Metrics è un modulo dell’insegnamento Marketing (13 CFU – Fundamental of Marketing I 8 CFU e Marketing Metrics for Decisions 5 CFU).
L'obiettivo del corso è fornire un quadro ampio e approfondito dei principali metodi, tecniche, e metriche per misurare, valutare le decisioni da prenderere per analizzare le performance di marketing. Tutti questi elementi forniscono gli strumenti per valutare i ritorni dagli investimenti in marketing e, infine, il contributo del marketing alla creazione di valore dell'impresa.
In relazione ai Descrittori di Dublino, gli obiettivi formativi mirano a far sì che gli studenti possano acquisire:
-Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione: conoscenze e capacità di comprensione delle metriche di marketing che estendono e/o rafforzano quelle di marketing e consentono di analizzare indicatori di marketing e prendere decisioni;
-Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione applicate: capacità di applicare le conoscenze acquisite, capacità di comprensione e abilità di marketing metrics nel risolvere problemi appresi durante il corso a tematiche nuove o non familiari, inserite in contesti più ampi (o interdisciplinari);
-Autonomia di giudizio: capacità di integrare le conoscenze in marketing metrics, elencate sopra, per gestire la complessità, nonché per formulare giudizi sulla base di informazioni limitate o incomplete;
-Abilità comunicative: saper comunicare in modo chiaro e privo di ambiguità le loro conclusioni di analisi delle marketing metrics a molteplici interlocutori;
-Capacità di apprendere: sviluppo di quelle capacità di apprendimento che consentano di continuare a monitorare e reperire informazioni e dati di aggiornamento per lo più in modo auto-diretto o autonomo.
In termini di Conoscenze, Abilità e Competenze, gli obiettivi sono di raggiungere un certo livello di preparazione, nell'ambito degli argomenti di Marketing Metrics for Decisions dianzi citati, da articolarsi in termini di:
-Conoscenze: Conoscenze delle principali Marketing Metrics di mercato, profittabilità, consumatori, e delle leve operative di marketing.
-Abilità: Abilità orientate alla analisi di problemi di gestione delle strategie di marketing, al fine di sviluppare conoscenze e procedure nuove e integrare la conoscenza ottenuta in ambiti diversi.
-Competenze: Saper valutare decisioni di marketing, gestire contesti di lavoro o di studio, nonché contribuire alla operatività.
Contenuti sintetici
Il corso intende analizzare le principali metriche di valutazione delle strategie di marketing in modo da valutare e pendere decisioni di marketing. In particolare, le marketing metrics relative a studio del mercato, consumatori, profittabilità del marketing e prodotto, prezzo, distribuzione, social media, e comunicazione saranno esaminate.

- Customer analytics e metrics: customer acquisition, customer value, customer metrics
- Metriche per la gestione del prodotto e del portafoglio prodotti (Product metrics)
- Metriche di valutazione della forza di vendita e del canale distributivo
- Metriche di valutazione delle strategie di prezzo (Price metrics)
- Digital marketing metrics & Social media marketing metrics
- Metriche di marketing communication

Metodi didattici
Insegnamento svolto ricorrendo a due modalità didattiche:
-8 lezioni da 2 ore (ad eccezione di una lezione della durata di 1 ora) svolte in modalità erogativa
-10 lezioni da 2 ore svolte in modalità erogativa nella parte iniziale, che è volta a coinvolgere gli studenti in modo interattivo nella parte successiva.
Le lezioni si terranno principalmente in presenza.
Le lezioni sono per gli studenti del Turno 2 (cognomi Li-Z).

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Alla fine dell'insegnamento, per gli studenti che hanno seguito il corso, sarà possibile sostenere un esame scritto sul materiale spiegato a lezione (insieme a Fundamental of Marketing) e sul materiale bibliografico di approfondimento indicato durante il corso. La prova scritta sarà suddivisa in domande aperte (esposizione di argomenti trattati a lezione o nel materiale bibliografico indicato) e/o chiuse (scelta a risposta multipla) ed esercizi.
Negli appelli ufficiali SIFA, l’esame è svolto in forma orale sulla bibliografia indicata alla pagina del corso per verificare la conoscenza degli argomenti e la capacità di riflessione su punti critici del programma.

Learning objectives
Marketing Metrics is a module in the Marketing course (13 credits – Fundamentals of Marketing I 8 credits and Marketing Metrics for Decisions 5 credits).
The course's objective is to provide a broad and in-depth overview of the main methods, techniques, and metrics for measuring, evaluating decisions, and analyzing marketing performance. All these elements provide the tools to evaluate the returns on marketing investments and, ultimately, the contribution of marketing to corporate value creation.
The course provides students with an in-depth framework of specific indicators and methods to adequately measure and evaluate marketing returns in the broader business value generation process.
In relation to the Dublin Descriptors, the learning objectives aim to ensure that students acquire:
-Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge and understanding of marketing metrics that extend and/or strengthen marketing metrics and enable the analysis of marketing indicators and decision-making;
-Applied Knowledge and Understanding: Ability to apply acquired knowledge, understanding, and marketing metrics skills to solve problems learned during the course to new or unfamiliar topics, within broader (or interdisciplinary) contexts;
-Judgment Skills: Ability to integrate the marketing metrics knowledge listed above to manage complexity, as well as to make judgments based on limited or incomplete information;
-Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and unambiguously communicate their marketing metrics analysis conclusions to multiple audiences;
-Learning Skills: Development of learning skills that enable continued monitoring and retrieval of updated information and data, primarily in a self-directed or autonomous manner.
In terms of Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies, the objectives are to achieve a certain level of preparation in the Marketing Metrics for Decisions topics mentioned above, broken down into:
-Knowledge: Knowledge of the main marketing metrics for the market, profitability, consumers, and operational marketing levers.
-Skills: Ability to analyze marketing strategy management problems, develop new knowledge and procedures, and integrate knowledge gained from different fields.
-Competencies: Ability to evaluate marketing decisions, manage work or study contexts, and contribute to operations.
Contents
The course aims to analyze the main metrics for evaluating marketing strategies in order to evaluate and inform marketing decisions. Specifically, marketing metrics related to market research, consumers, marketing and product profitability, pricing, distribution, social media, and communications will be examined.

Teaching methods
Lectures:
- 8 lessons - 2 hours (excluded one lesson of 1 hour) with teaching in class
- 10 lessons - 2 hours where the first part with be of explanations, and the second part interactive with students.

The lessons are for students of T2 (surname Li-Z).

Assessment methods
At the end of the course, students attending the course will have the opportunity to take a written exam based on the material covered in class (along with Fundamentals of Marketing) and the additional reading material indicated during the course. The written exam will consist of open-ended questions (expositions of topics covered in class or in the indicated reading material) and/or closed-ended questions (multiple choice questions) and exercises.
In official SIFA exams, the exam is oral, based on the reading material indicated on the course page, to test knowledge of the topics and the ability to reflect on critical points of the syllabus.
