Title
User Centred Design in Medical Applications
Speaker
Isabella Loddo

Abstract
"The contention for attention from technology became evident during the pandemic, and in the medical field we have begun to rethink the cognitive load for physicians using our products and leave more room for the relationship with the patient.
Designing around the user is important as we become aware of safety and human factors related to the cognitive load caused by the technology devices we design. Attention is often diverted from the multitude of information being accessed, leaving room for human error. This difficulty is amplified by the fact that technologies designed in professional settings are not purchased by end users. Thus, usability analyses are useful both to address the business requirements of the end product but more importantly to minimize the possibility of human error.”
