inoltro di seguito la comunicazione di un'interessante iniziativa promossa dalla Società Italiana di Statistica (SIS), sezione Young SIS.

Siamo felici di annunciare la nona edizione di Stats Under the Stars (SUS9) che si svolgerà a Roma, presso l'Università Sapienza di Roma (Department of Statistical Sciences, Building CU002), nella notte tra il 21 e il 22 giugno 2026, appena prima dell'inizio del Convegno Intermedio SIS 2026.
 
Quest'anno, SUS9 è organizzato dall'Università di Roma La Sapienza in collaborazione con Young SIS e un main sponsor che annunceremo a breve, con il supporto di Bee-Viva.
 
SUS è una competizione completamente gratuita aperta a team di studenti di Master e/o PhD (entro i 3 anni dalla laurea) che abbiano interessi e competenze nell'ambito della Statistica e della Data Science.
 
Vi preghiamo di diffondere l'iniziativa: oltre a stimolare la capacità di affrontare problemi reali proposti da un'azienda, la partecipazione a SUS rappresenta un'occasione per incontrare studenti di altri atenei, scambiare idee e vivere una sana competizione. Inoltre, i primi tre team classificati riceveranno dei premi in denaro!

Le registrazioni sono ora aperte e lo saranno fino al 31 maggio o fino al raggiungimento del numero di 12 squadre (le iscrizioni verranno prese in ordine di arrivo).

Dear all,

We are happy to announce that the 8th edition of Stats Under the Stars (SUS8) will take place in Genova, at the Sapienza University in Rome (Department of Statistical Sciences, Building CU002), during the night between June 21th and 22th, 2026, just before the start of the SIS 2026 International Specialized Statistical Conference.

This year, SUS9 is organized by the University of Rome La Sapienza in collaboration with Young SIS and a main sponsor to be announced soon, with the support of Bee-Viva.
 
SUS is a free-of-charge competition open to teams of Master's or PhD students, within three years of the Master's degree, with interests and skills in the field of Statistics and Data Science.
 
Please, spread the initiative. Besides strengthening the ability to tackle real problems posed by a company, attending SUS is an opportunity to meet students from other universities, exchange ideas, and experience healthy competition. Additionally, there are prizes for the top three teams!

Registration is now open and will close on May 31st or until 12 teams are reached (first-come, first-served).
