The European strategy for the next decade is based on growth that is intelligent (based on knowledge and innovation), inclusive (with a high rate of employment and social cohesion) and sustainable (efficient in the use of resources). In this context, innovation in the field of medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices can provide solutions for diagnosis, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation that can improve the health and quality of life of European citizens by promoting the sustainability of national health service systems. The consequent need to adapt community legislation in the medical device sector led to the publication of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and Regulation (EU) 2017/746.

The objective of the Master is to train specialized professional figures in the medical device sector in order to fill the gaps in qualified resources to be employed in the sector.
