Obiettivo del corso è apprendere le principali modificazioni, anatomiche e funzionali, del SNC, legate all’invecchiamento fisiologico e saperle distinguere da quelle proprie di situazioni cliniche ad alta prevalenza nell’anziano (Depressione, MCI, Demenza, Delirium).

Nel percorso formativo di uno studente del Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Medicina e della Laurea in Infermieristica è importante acquisire informazioni teoriche e pratiche relative all’invecchiamento cerebrale. Ciò vuole rispondere alle attuali esigenze demografiche ed offrire, da un punto di vista pratico, gli strumenti conoscitivi per affrontare, nella futura professione, una delle problematiche cliniche più specifiche dell’anziano ovvero la diagnosi differenziale VS il Deterioramento cognitivo. Vanno inoltre affrontati gli aspetti più attuali di diagnostica neuroradiologica e le possibilità terapeutiche.

Objective of the course is to learn the main modifications, anatomical and functional, of the SNC, tied to the physiological ageing and also to distinguish them from those typical of clinical situations to high prevalence in the elderly (Depression, MCI, Dementia, Delirium).

In the formative curriculum of the future Medical Doctor and/or Nurse it is important to acquire theoretical and practical information related to the cerebral aging. This wants to answer to the current demographic transition and also offer, from a practical point of view, the cognitive knowledge to face in the future profession, one of the more specific clinical problems observed in the elderly i.e. the differential diagnosis vs cognitive impairment. They go moreover faced the current aspects of diagnostic imaging and therapeutic possibilities.
