Obiettivi
- Conoscere e distinguere la differenza tra vertigini oggettive e soggettive
- Conoscere e distinguere le patologie che rispondono alle caratteristiche di vertigini
oggettive e soggettive
- Comprendere quali siano le red flags assolute e relative, nell’individuazione della
causa delle vertigini soggettive
- Saper valutare le vertigini soggettive e oggettive con l’anamnesi
- Confermare la propria valutazione mediante l'utilizzo degli appositi tests.
Contenuti sintetici
All'interno della definizione di vertigine si distinguono due grandi categorie: le vertigini oggettive e le vertigini soggettive. Capire e distinguere i due diversi tipi è già un primo passo per capire se il trattamento possa competere o meno al fisioterapista.

principali differenze tra instabilità e vertigini; e successivamente tra vertigini oggettive e soggettive
- definizione di tutte le tipologie di vertigini di tipo oggettivo (Menière, VPPB,
neurinoma VIII nc, fistola dei canali semicircolari)
- individuazione delle patologie che determinano vertigine soggettiva
(cervicogeniche, centrali, otosclerosi, SM, otite media,
IVB, farmaci, alcool, diabete, problematiche cardiache, ipotensione ortostatica,
concussioni encefalo)
- individuazione di quali vertigini siano di competenza del fisioterapista -
individuazione del meccanismo biomeccanico nell'instaurazione della vertigine soggettiva cervicogenica
- routine obiettiva specifica e diagnosi differenziale mediante i test di esplorazione
di: riflesso vestibolare (riflessi OCG e VOR), test provocativi per nistagmo, e test neurologici vestibolo-spinali.
Prerequisiti
Iscrizione al secondo anno del Corso di Laurea in Fisioterapia.

Aims
To know and to understand the difference between dizziness with objective and subjective symptoms
- To know and to understand diseases that make objective and subjective symptoms
- To understand red flags in the research of the cause of subjective dizziness
- To know how assess dizziness with the history of the patients
- To confirm the evaluation by using tests.
Detailed program
- differences between instability and dizziness; and between objective and subjective symptoms in dizziness
- classification of dizziness with objective symptoms (Menière, BPPV, VIII c.n. neurinoma, semicircular canals’ lesion)
- classification of pathology that may make subjective symptoms (cervical, CNS, otosclerosis, MS, otitys, VBI, pharma, alcohol, diabetes, cardiac problems, orthostatic ipotension)
- to show what physiotherapist can treat
- individuation of the biomechanics behind the born of cervical dizziness
- differential diagnosis and routine using vestibular tests, nystagmus tests and neurological tests.
