Essential prerequisite: knowledge of univariate descriptive statistics.

·       The notion of real function, Linear and quadratic functions, Logarithmic and exponential functions

·       Derivatives

·       Basics of Matrix algebra

.       Element of Probability Theory

.       Inferential statistic: estimation and hypothesis testing

       

      Objectives:

      The course aims to provide knowledges about the basic mathematical and statistical tools to the students so they can deal with simple empirical analysis.


      Evaluation: Written exam

      4 CFU - 32 hours
