Aims

The aim of this course (Psychiatry I and II) is to provide the students with the basic information on principles of classification, psychopathology, diagnosis, and main treatment approaches of mental disorders.

 


Contents

A comprehensive overview on epidemiology, classification, psychopathology, diagnosis, treatment of main mental disorders.


Detailed program

Signs, symptoms, aetiology, and classification of mental disorders 

Schizophrenia spectrum-disorders and paranoid syndromes 

Depression

Bipolar Disorders

Anxiety disorders

Obsessive compulsive disorders

Personality and personality disorders 

Alcohol and substance use disorders  

Stress and stress-related disorders 

Psychological and psychosocial interventions

Mental Health care delivery systems

Emergencies in psychiatry

Neuroscience 1

 


Teaching form

The lessons will be provided in attendance, if feasible with ongoing ministerial rules for COVID pandemic situation.
Teaching will be based on frontal lessons.
