Course Syllabus
Learning objectives
In many countries, corporations can be criminally tried and convicted for crimes committed in their interest by individual directors, managers, and even low-level employees.
This course will be dedicated to a comparative study of different models of assessing responsibility for crimes committed to benefit corporate interests. Mainly, the focus will be on Italian and Anglo-American systems of corporate criminal liability, to highlight both the common features and differences between the various jurisdictions.
