Different aspects of geophysical fluid dynamics will be discussed in a reading class based either on a book or on a series of scientific papers, based on participant interests. As examples, possible topics for the whole class are:

-Atmosphere and Ocean Dynamics

-air-sea interactions

-turbulence in geophysical flows

Evaluation: YES, PhD students will have to discuss specific aspects of the topics covered during the course.
