Contenuti sintetici

Tumori ematologici e cerebrali dell'infanzia

The student must know the role and the professional tasks of the pathologist in the management of tissue and cellular samples.

Contents

Morphology of non-neoplastic disease of female genital tract; pathogenesis, classification and morphology of gynecological and pediatric tumours.

Detailed program

HPV-related lesions of vulva, vagina, and cervix. Role and limits of cytological diagnosis (pap test). The concept of the squamous intraepithelial lesions (SIL). Classification of invasive tumours of the cervix. Non-neoplastic lesions of the uterine corpus (adenomyosis and endometriosis. Classification of epithelial and stromal tumours of the uterine corpus. Cysts of the ovary. The concept of borderline tumours of the ovary. Classification of epithelial, stromal and germinal tumours of the ovary.
