Course Syllabus
Aims
• Gain knowledge of fundamentals of methods of hemodynamic monitoring from non-invasive to invasive systems
• Provide general advice about the diagnosis and management of septic shock and related clinical scenarios in pregnancy
• Provide general advice about the emergency treatment of preeclampsia and eclampsia
• Understanding the pathophysiology of hemorrhagic shock and provide general advice about the treatment of obstetric hemorrhages and intrapartum emergencies
• Gain knowledge of fundamentals of neonatal and pediatric resuscitation, starting from basics of evaluation of vital parameters in neonatal and pediatric patient
Contents
The course will provide basic knowledge for the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of the principal emergency situations in pregnancy, newborn and pediatric patients. Starting from the pathophysiology of medical and surgical emergencies in pregnancy, newborn, and pediatric, the course will provide instruments for the recognition and basic treatments of lifethreatening conditions.
