In particolare, il corso vuole offrire un analisi comparata della disciplina del matrimonio islamico e di quello cattolico.

Il matrimonio nella tradizione del diritto canonico e il matrimonio nel diritto islamico.

Prerequisiti

Buona conoscenza della lingua inglese e dei principali istituti di diritto pubblico e privato.

Lezione frontale nella quale si individuano le azioni necessarie alla risoluzione di un problema.

Learning objectives

The course aims to offer a comparative study of the law of religions.

Contents

When we speak of law we generally think of the state, but many religions also have their own internal law. These internal legal norms are aimed at a particular form of behaviour on the part of believers. The comparison of the internal law of religions serves to establish and explain the commonalities and differences between various religious legal traditions. In particular, the course aims at addressing the regulation of marriage in canon law and in Islamic law.

Detailed program

Marriage in the Catholic Tradition.

Sunni Muslim Perspective on Marriage.

Prerequisites

Fairly good skills in learning and speaking, together with a general knowledge of public and private law.

Teaching methods

Lectures and problem solving.

Oral exam
