Breve descrizione

Primo semestre

  • Geologia ambientale e gestione del territorio
  • Esercitazioni pratica di cartografia tematica (denominate esercitazioni eventi estermi)

Secondo semestre

  • Eventi estremi

Short description

The one-year course consists of three single modules:

  • Environmental geology and land management
  • Practical exercises in thematic mapping (named extreme events exercises).
  • Extreme events.

The first module takes into account the analysis of geological resources, their sustainable use, and land resource management tools will be analyzed taking into account the relationship between man and land.
The thematic cartography exercises (called extreme events exercises), held in the computer lab, will be aimed at teaching spatial data management (GIS) tools for creating thematic cartography.

The overall goal of the teaching module "Extreme Events" is to provide the cultural bases for understanding the climate drivers of extreme events and their impacts on natural and anthropic systems, as well as possible adaptations, through frontal lessons, and a dedictaed lab.

CFU / Hours

  • Environmental geology and land management 48 hours of lessons, 6 CFU
  • Practical exercises in thematic mapping (named extreme events exercises), 20 hours of lab, 2 CFU
  • Extreme events, 24 h. lessons, 3 CFU, 20 hours of lab 1 CFU

Teaching period

first semester

  • Environmental geology and land management
  • Practical exercises in thematic mapping (named extreme events exercises)

second semester

  • Extreme events,

Final grade calculated as a weighted average of the grades of the two modules
