Principles and applications of nano-biotechnologies

The course consists of a series of lectures on different topics in nano-biotechnologies given by different experts in the field with a particular emphasis on the exploitation of nanostructured materials in different applications.

The following topics will be addressed:

  • Synthesis and biofunctionalization of colloidal nanoparticles.
  • Non-covalent interactions of proteins with nanoparticles.
  • Nanostructured biomaterials for tissue regeneration.
  • Protein-DNA interaction at single molecule level.
  • Biomedical application of colloidal and biomimetic nanoparticles.
