The objective of this course is:

• Learn effective strategies to quickly retrieve books and articles whose basic elements you already know;
• master research techniques to discover new relevant information in the field of materials science;
• develop critical and analytical skills for the evaluation of scientific literature

At the end of the course you will be able to:

• set up a good query and develop a suitable search strategy
• identify the most suitable resources to satisfy your information needs
• make the best use of the services and tools offered by the University Library
• evaluate the quality of the results obtained
• identify the elements of a bibliographic citation and know how to write them in the style required by the context

The course will be in blended-learning mode, will last 3 weeks and includes 2 face-to-face meetings:

Monday 27 November, 14:30-15:30: Course presentation.  "Aula Seminari" U5

Monday  4  December, 14:30-16:30: I Prof. Benedek seminar. "Aula Seminari" U5

Monday  11  December, 14:30-16:30: II Prof. Benedek seminar. "Aula Seminari" U5

The course start November 27th and will end on December 18th.
