Obiettivi

• Conoscere le principali patologie onco-ematologiche che colpiscono l’età pediatrica, in riferimento all’epidemiologia, alla prognosi, al trattamento ed al percorso di cura;
• Conoscere l’organizzazione delle Unità di onco-ematologia pediatrica sul territorio italiano (rete AIEOP hub and spoke);
• Comprendere e conoscere le principali attività infermieristiche nella presa in carico del bambino/ragazzo in onco ematologia pediatrica;
• Conoscere la gestione del sintomo dolore in onco-ematologia pediatrica;
• Identificare le figure professionali e non che agiscono nell’ambito dell’onco-ematologia pediatrica, con riferimento a progetti svolti ed obiettivi;
• Prendere contatto con una esperienza diretta di malattia e di percorso di cura attraverso l’esperienza di un bambino/ragazzo: gestione della relazione

Aims

• To know the main onco-haematological pathologies affecting the pediatric age, with reference to epidemiology, prognosis, treatment and treatment path;
• To know the organization of the Pediatric onco-hematology units in Italy (AIEOP hub and spoke network);
• Understand and know the main nursing activities in taking charge of the child/ boy in pediatric onco hematology;
• Know the management of pain symptom in pediatric onco-hematology;
• Identify professional and non-professional figures in pediatric onco-hematology, with reference to projects carried out and objectives;
• Make contact with a direct experience of illness and path of care through the experience of a child/boy: relationship management

Overview on onco-haematological pathologies of the developmental age and their treatment
Nursing activities in pediatric onco-hematology: technical, educational and preventive role Organization of the network of pediatric onco-hematology in Italy and in individual units: roles and figures present Pain management
Relational, psychological and emotional management elements in the context of a severe disease in children

• Pediatric onco-hematology in Italy: the AIEOP network
• Onco-haematological diseases of the pediatric age
• Diagnosis, treatment and clinical trial
• Communication of diagnosis to child/boy and family: a therapeutic tool
• "A day in Pediatric Onco-Hematology": activities and nursing interventions.
• "How to manage emotions?": risks and resources for nurses
• The pain symptom in the child’s onco haematological disease: recognition and management of the symptom
• Pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment
• Outline of pediatric palliative care
• Children and young people tell about their experience of illness: what they experienced, what care preferences

Enrolling in the 2nd-3rd year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
