Obiettivi formativi
The course shall cover the macroeconomic fundamentals of development economics.
Specifically, the main objectives are to analyze: (1) The role of Geography versus Institutions in economic Development, (2) The link between Foreign Aid and Development, (3) Sovereign Debt problems for developing countries.

Prerequisiti
Knowledge of the fundamental concepts of both micro and macroeconomics as well as basic tools of econometrics is required.

Lectures and (possibly) students' presentations
Lectures: 12 in class and 3 online
Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Final written exam (open questions) and in-class students' presentations. Students will be evaluated according to their capacity to critically analyse both theoretical and empirical models.
