Laboratorio di Lingua Inglese
Argomenti e articolazione del corso
Il Laboratorio Linguistico offre 2 possibilità:
Modulo Intermediate — rivolto agli studenti studenti in possesso della certificazione di livello B1 d'Inglese, come indicato nel Quadro comune europeo di riferimento per la conoscenza delle lingue (QCER).
Modulo Upper Intermediate — rivolto agli studenti con competenze linguistiche iniziali livello B2 secondo il Quadro comune europeo di riferimento per la conoscenza delle lingue.
Se non siete sicuri quale è il livello giusto, potete verificare il vostro livello tramite Rosetta Stone.
Le studentesse e gli studenti in possesso di una certificazione internazionale riconosciuta (disponibile qui) possono richiedere l'esonero dal Laboratorio di Lingua Inglese presentando un esposto (scaricabile dal sito d’Ateneo qui) all’Ufficio Gestione Carriere.
E' indispensabile allegare all'esposto la documentazione utile ad attestare il possesso dei requisiti richiesti e una fotocopia della carta d’identità.
Per poter essere esonerati dalla frequenza del laboratorio di Lingua Straniera la certificazione di cui si è in possesso deve soddisfare le seguenti condizioni:
- figurare tra quelle riconosciute nella tabella delle certificazioni internazionali riconosciute
- non essere più vecchia di tre anni rispetto alla presentazione della stessa
Obiettivi
Con questo insegnamento, con una costante e partecipata frequenza alle lezioni e al Laboratorio connesso al corso, si intendono PROMUOVERE i seguenti apprendimenti, in termini di:
Livello Intermedio
- acquisire le competenze linguistiche e di comunicazione richieste sul luogo di lavoro, in un'ambiente di business generale
- sviluppare queste competenze linguistiche e di comunicazione per mezzo di attività basate sul:
- parlare
- ascoltare
- leggere
- scrivere
Modulo Upper Intermediate
- Rinforzare e espandere le competenze communicative in inglese, nel contesto di Human Resources.
- Sviluppare queste competenze linguistiche e di comunicazione per mezzo di attività basate sul:
- parlare
- ascoltare
- leggere
- scrivere
- Rinforzare e espandere la capacità di usare le Soft Skills in inglese.
- Rinforzare e espandere la vostra capacità di comprendere – e produrre - testi prodotti per i madrelingua inglese. In particolare, ci concentreremo su lavorare con documenti "Human Resources"
- Capire e produrre il lessico appropriato per la situazione
Metodologie utilizzate
Tutte le lezioni sono svolte in presenza, in modalità interattiva.
Mentre il docente offre spiegazioni su certi aspetti di lingua inglese e/o competenze communicative, la maggior parte di ogni lezione si focalizza su attività che permettono di sviluppare la propria capacità di comunicare in lingua inglese nel mondo di business e in particolare nell' ambiente "Human Resources".
- 18 lezioni da 3 ore svolte in modalità interattiva in presenza.
- 1 lezione da 2 ore svolta n modalità interattiva in presenza.

Course title
English Language Workshop
Topics and course structure
The English Language Workshop offers 2 course options:
Intermediate Module — a course for students with a B1 level of English, as indicated by the Common European Framework of Reference.
Upper Intermediate Module a course for students who have already reached a B2-Level of English, according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
If you are not sure which is the right level for you, you can test your level with Rosetta Stone. .
Students holding a recognized international certificate,(see the Tabella Certificazione for further details) can request a waiver from the activities of the Laboratorio di Lingua Inglese by presenting a completed request form (available here) to the Ufficio Gestione Carriere.
When sending the completed request form, students must also attach the pertinent documentation attesting to the certification, as well as a photocopy of their carta d’identità.
In order to qualify for the waiver, the certification must meet the following conditions:
- It must be among the certifications listed in the Tabella Certificazione
- It cannot be more than three years old at the time it is presented
Objectives
The main objectives of the course are:
Intermediate Module
- to acquire the main language and communications skills necessary for the workplace, in a general business environment
- to develop these language skills through activities based on:
- Speaking
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
Upper Intermediate Module
- Strengthen and expand your communicative English Skills in the context of Human Resources. The four primary communicative language skills are
- Speaking
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
- Strengthen and expand your ability to use your Soft Skills in English.
- Strengthen and expand your ability to work with and produce authentic texts (both spoken and written).
Particular focus will be placed on your ability to
- work with Human Resources documents
- understand and produce the vocabulary appropriate for the situation
- Use communicative English skills to explore HR Contexts
Methodologies
All lessons are in person.
While the teacher will offer explanations on certain aspects of the English language and on communication skills, the majority of each lesson will focus on activities promoting the development of your ability to communicate in English in the workplace, and in particular in the context of 'Human Resources'.

Assessment methods
- The final exam consists of an oral exam with a final assessment of "Approved / Not approved".
*During the exam, you will be assessed on your knowledge of syntax, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
You will also be expected to discuss - in English - the topics contained in the course program.
