Objectives

At the end of the course, the students will have achieved the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages:

"The students understand the main elements of clear and standard speech on familiar topics frequently addressed in work, school or leisure time. They understand the essential message of radio and television broadcasts on topics of current affairs or of personal or professional interest, as long as the speech is relatively slow and clear. They can understand commonly used written texts related to daily life or work, as well as descriptions of events, feelings, and desires in personal written messages.

They can handle a wide range of situations that may arise when travelling to areas where the language is spoken and are able to participate in conversations on familiar topics, topics of personal interest or related to everyday life, such as family, hobbies, work, travel and current events.

They can briefly motivate and explain opinions and projects, narrate a story or the plot of a book or film and describe their impressions. They can write simple and coherent texts on familiar topics or topics of interest to them and write personal messages in which they express experiences and impressions."
