Obiettivi

Acquisire la basi patologiche delle malattie dell'apparato genitale femminile e dei tumori pediatrici. Lo studente deve essere in grado di integrare morfologia macroscopica, istologica e citologica con i dati molecolari e con la clinica. Inoltre deve conoscere i compiti professionali dell'anatomopatologo nella gestione dei campioni tissutali e cellulari.

Contenuti sintetici

Caratteristiche anatomopatologiche delle malattie non neoplastiche dell'apparato genitale femminile; patogenesi, classificazione e aspetti morfologici dei tumori ginecologici e pediatrici.

Programma esteso

Lesioni associate a HPV di vulva, vagina e cervice. Ruolo e limiti della diagnosi citologica (pap test). Concetto di Lesione squamosa intraepiteliale (SIL). Classificazione dei tumori invasivi della cervice. Lesioni non neoplastiche del corpo uterino (adenomiosi ed endometriosi). Classificazione dei tumori epiteliali e stromali del corpo uterino. Morfogenesi e natura delle cisti delle ovaie. Concetto di tumore borderline dell'ovaia. Classificazione dei tumori epiteliali, stromali e germinali dell'ovaia. Stadio anatomopatologico dei tumori ginecologici (sistema FIGO). Incidenza e caratteristiche dei tumori pediatrici, con evidenza delle neoplasie ematologiche e cerebrali.

Prerequisiti

Conoscenze di base di anatomia, istologia, fisiologia e patologia generale

Modalità didattica

10 ore in modalità erogativa (lezioni frontali di due ore)

Aims

To provide the pathologic basis of the diseases of female genital tract and the childhood. The student should be able to integrate macroscopic, histological, and cytological morphology with the clinical assay. The student must know the role and the professional tasks of the pathologist in the management of tissue and cellular samples.

Contents

Pathological characteristics of non-neoplastic diseases of female genital tract; pathogenesis, classification and morphology of gynecological and pediatric tumours.

Detailed program

HPV-related lesions of vulva, vagina, and cervix. Role and limits of cytological diagnosis (pap test). The concept of the squamous intraepithelial lesions (SIL). Classification of invasive tumours of the cervix. Non-neoplastic lesions of the uterine corpus (adenomyosis and endometriosis. Classification of epithelial and stromal tumours of the uterine corpus. Morphogenesis and kinds of thec ysts of the ovary. The concept of borderline tumours of the ovary. Classification of epithelial, stromal and germinal tumours of the ovary. The pathologic staging of gynecological tumours (FIGO System). Incidence and characteristics of hematological and cerebral tumours of the childhood

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of anatomy, histology, physiology, and general pathology
