Obiettivi

Periodo di formazione pratica clinica. Lo scopo è acquisire un approccio metodico multidisciplinare al paziente con patologia osteo-muscolare e riguardante ortopedia e traumatologia, medicina dello sport, chirurgia plastica, riabilitazione, reumatologia e malattie infettive.

Contenuti sintetici

Approccio metodico multidisciplinare al paziente con patologia osteo-muscolare senso lato.

Programma esteso

Alla fine del corso/blocco di attività, lo studente avere padronanza della semeiotica ortopedica e traumatologica di base:

  • Raccogliere un’anamnesi (focalizzata a pazienti di potenziale interesse muscolo-scheletrico).
  • Apprendere la terminologia adeguata per comunicare con pazienti e personale sanitario.
  • Identificare, esaminare e descrivere i principali segni e sintomi in relazione alla patologia di interesse, con approccio multidisciplinare con metodo PBL/PCL.
  • Teoria e competenze semeiologiche pratiche per eseguire una valutazione clinica del paziente con patologia muscolo-scheletrica.
  • Avere appreso nozioni base delle patologie trattate, in particolare per la parte anamnestica, esame obiettivo e diagnostica di primo approccio.

Prerequisiti

Superamento del blocco pre-clinico. In particolare, padronanza dell'anatomia dell'apparato muscolo-scheletrico e sistema nervoso periferico.

Aims

On-site clinical training (clerkship). The aim is to learn a systematic multidisciplinary clinical approach to the patient with osteo-muscular disease and concerning orthopaedics and traumatology, plastic surgery, sport medicine, rehabilitation, rheumatology and infectious diseases.

Contents

Systematic multidisciplinary methodic clinical approach to the patient with osteo-muscular disease.

Detailed program

At the end of the course/activity block, the student will be able to:

  • Clinical approach to an orthopedic and traumatological patients.
  • Anamnesis and clinical examination focused for orthopedic and traumatological patients.
  • Use the appropriate terminology to communicate with patients and medical staff
  • Identify, examine, and describe the main pathological symptoms and signs in relation to interest area. Highlight on a multidisciplinary approach, exploiting the PBL/PCL Method.
  • Theory and practical skills to perform the basic clinical examination tests in general orthopedics and traumatology.
  • Basic knowledge of the diseases addressed, particularly regarding the anamnesis, physical examination, and initial diagnostic approach.

Prerequisites

Pre-clinical block successfully passed. Particularly, competence in the anatomy of the musculoskeletal system and peripheral nervous system.
