Gli obiettivi del corso sono:

  • Acquisire gli elementi di base della Medicina del Lavoro e del sistema di prevenzione in ambito occupazionale;
  • Conoscere i principali rischi in ambito lavorativo e le patologie correlate;
  • Saper riconoscere o sospettare una malattia professionale;

Contenuti sintetici

Il corso fornisce allo studente le conoscenze e le competenze relative alla prevenzione e tutela della salute nei luoghi di lavoro e alle patologie di origine lavorativa.

  • Introduzione alla Medicina del Lavoro e quadro normativo di riferimento
  • Concetti base di prevenzione e classificazione dei fattori di rischio
  • Tossicologia generale e speciale
  • Tumori professionali
  • Patologie da agenti fisici (rumore, vibrazioni, microclima, radiazioni ionizzanti e non ionizzanti)
  • Patologie respiratorie professionali
  • Patologie dermatologiche professionali
  • Ergonomia e rischio videoterminale
  • Stress lavoro-correlato

Aims

The aims of the course are:

  • To learn the basic elements of the Occupational Medicine and of the prevention system in workplaces;
  • To know the main risks in workplaces and their work-related diseases;
  • To diagnose or to suspect the presence of an occupational disease;

Contents

The course provides students with knowledge and skills related to prevention and health protection in workplaces, and to occupational diseases.

Detailed program

  • Introduction to the Occupational Medicine and regulatory framework
  • Basic notions of prevention and classification of risk factors
  • General and specific toxicology
  • Occupational cancers
  • Diseases caused by physical agents (noise, vibration, micro climate, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation)
  • Work-related respiratory diseases
  • Work-related skin diseases
  • Ergonomics and risk of working with display screen equipment
  • Work-related stress

Prerequisites

Knowledge related to preparatory courses as specified in the regulation of the degree course.
