Programma esteso

Tipologia dei campioni processati in anatomia patologica e citologia diagnostica; procedure di laboratorio; modalità di fissazione e campionamento; la diagnosi istologica e citologica; il referto anatomopatologico; controlli di qualità nel laboratorio di Anatomia Patologica, Applicazioni diagnostiche di citologia diagnostica agoaspirativa e su fluidi biologici, immunoistochimica, biologia molecolare e microscopia elettronica; digitalizzazione dei preparati e telepatologia; diagnostica autoptica; finalità e scopi del riscontro diagnostico; la richiesta di autopsia; differenze tra autopsia sanitaria e medicolegale; stadiazione tumorale; stadiazione clinica e anatomopatologica; principi generali e impatto su prognosi e terapia

conoscenze acquisite duraante i corsi delle scienze di base

Aims

The student must learn the professional characteristics of the anatomopathologist's job, with the aim of being able to establish a profitable professional relationship

Contents

Professional tasks of the pathologist; technologies used in the Pathological Anatomy laboratory

Detailed program

Specimens in the histological lab (management and preparation phase); histological and cytological diagnosis; the anatomopathological report: quality controls in the anatomical pathology laboratory; fine needle aspiration biopsy application, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology and electron microscopy; digital pathology and telepathology; autoptic diagnostics; the purpose of the diagnostic autopsy; the autopsy request; differences between hospital and medicolegal autopsy; tumor staging; clinical and anatomopathological staging; general principles and impact on prognosis and therapy
