Obiettivi formativi

Conoscenze e comprensione

Offrire le competenze di base relative ai metodi e alle tecniche della ricerca sul turismo utili nell’ambito dell’attività professionale.

Far apprendere e sperimentare alcune competenze metodologiche di base attraverso le esercitazioni guidate che affiancano le lezioni.

Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione

Dare modo agli studenti di orientarsi nel panorama dei diversi tipi di ricerca empirica e dell’informazione statistica nell'ambito del turismo,in vista di un uso critico e consapevole

Prerequisiti

Conoscenza dei concetti fondamentali di metodologia della ricerca sociale

Metodi didattici

Lezioni in aula, e-learning ed esercitazioni individuali.

Il Corso si compone di 56 ore, di cui indicativamente il 60% con didattica erogativa (lezioni frontali con utilizzo di slides, audio e video) e il 40% con didattica interattiva (esercitazioni, lavori di gruppo, presentazioni)

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento

Prova scritta composta da test a risposta multipla (23 domande, 23 punti) e una domanda aperta (8 punti). La prova è volta a verificare le conoscenze di base della metodologia della ricerca e le capacità di applicazione di tali conoscenze a casi studio concreti.

Learning objectives

Knowledge and understanding

To teach students methods and techniques of tourism research that are useful in professional activities. To teach students some basic methodological skills through guided training.

Applying knowledge and understanding

To give students an orientation on the different kinds of empirical research and statistical information in the tourism field, and to teach them to use these in a critical and conscious manner

Prerequisites

Basic understanding of social research methodology

Teaching methods

Lectures, e-learning, individual exercises

The course consists of 56 hours, approximately 60% of which are dedicated to lecture-based teaching (lectures with the use of slides, audio, and video) and 40% to interactive teaching (exercises, group work, presentations).

Assessment methods

Written examination is constituted of 5 open question. The examinations aims to assess the basic knowledge of social research methodology and the ability to apply such skills to real cases.
