In this class we will discuss difficulties typically encountered when communicating the concept of climate change, including the personal perception of weather and the uncertainty of climate projections. Hands-on experiments that can help the audience in visualising and connecting with daily life concepts will be done. Controversial aspects of climate crisis manifestations and impacts will be discussed, starting from the critical analysis of scientific papers with contrasting conclusions.

Final evaluation (pass-fail): A debate session will be organized on a controversial aspect of communication of climate change. Students will be divided in two groups, and they will argue on a topic on two opposing sides. Active and appropriate participation to the discussion is required in order to obtain a positive evaluation.
