Obiettivi

L'obiettivo principale del corso è presentare agli studenti la farmacologia gastrointestinale. Il corso presenterà e descriverà le strategie farmacologiche disponibili per il trattamento delle patologie gastriche (acidità gastrica, ulcere, reflusso esofageo), della motilità gastrointestinale, dell'emesi, delle malattie epatiche e pancreatiche, dell'infiammazione intestinale. Saranno presentati il meccanismo d'azione, le proprietà terapeutiche, le interazioni farmacologiche e gli effetti collaterali.

Contenuti sintetici

Principali classi di farmaci, meccanismi d'azione, interazioni farmacologiche e precauzioni.

Programma esteso

Farmaci per il trattamento dell'acidità gastrica, dell'ulcera peptica, del reflusso esofageo.

Farmaci per il controllo della motilità gastrointestinale: procinetici e trattamento della stipsi e della diarrea.

Farmaci per il trattamento e la prevenzione (vaccini) delle malattie epatiche e pancreatiche.

Farmaci antitumorali per il trattamento delle neoplasie gastrointestinali.

Lavoro in gruppo: il microbioma.

Prerequisiti

Conoscenze fondamentali di biologia cellulare e farmacologia generale

4 lezioni frontali da 2 ore.

Aims

Main aim of the course is to provide students with gastrointestinal pharmacology. The course will present and describe available pharmacological strategies for the treatment of gastric pathologies (gastric acidity, ulcers, esophageal reflux), gastrointestinal motility, emesis, hepatic and pancreatic diseases, gut inflammation. Mechanism of action, therapeutic properties, drug interactions, and side effects will be presented.

Contents

Main classes of drugs, mechanisms of action, drug interactions and precautions.

Detailed program

Drugs for the treatment of gastric acidity, peptic ulcer, esophageal reflux.

Drugs for the control of gastrointestinal motility: prokinetics and treatment of stypsis and diarrhea.

Drugs for the treatment and prevention (vaccines) of hepatic and pancreatic diseases.

Anticancer drugs for the treatment of gastrointestinal neoplasia.

Work in groups: the microbiome.

Prerequisites

Fundamental knowledge on cell biology and general pharmacology
