Obiettivi
**Obiettivo generale **
Al termine del corso, lo studente avrà sviluppato:
Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione (Knowledge and understanding):
Dimostrare conoscenze approfondite delle diagnosi infermieristiche associate agli interventi chirurgici in ambiti specialistici selezionati.
Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione (Applying knowledge and understanding):
Pianificare l’assistenza infermieristica identificando le priorità e contestualizzando gli interventi in relazione alle diagnosi infermieristiche rilevate.
Autonomia di giudizio (Making judgements):
Sviluppare capacità di analisi critica e formulazione di giudizi professionali autonomi per consolidare le competenze di pianificazione dell’assistenza infermieristica attraverso metodologie didattiche attive, la discussione di casi ed esercitazioni di aula.
Abilità comunicative (Communication skills):
Saper comunicare e sostenere in modo efficace e appropriato, anche in contesti interprofessionali, le diagnosi infermieristiche e le relative decisioni assistenziali, mediante attività di confronto e simulazione previste nel corso.
Capacità di apprendimento (Learning skills):
Sviluppare consapevolezza dei propri bisogni formativi e potenziare le capacità di apprendimento autonomo attraverso l’analisi di casi clinici, l’utilizzo di metodologie didattiche attive e la partecipazione a esercitazioni pratiche in aula.

Al termine del corso lo studente avrà sviluppato:
Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione:
Descrivere, per alcuni quadri clinici relativi a specialità chirurgiche selezionate:
- i dati clinico-assistenziali più frequentemente rilevabili;*
- le diagnosi infermieristiche caratteristiche e i relativi outcome attesi;*
- gli interventi infermieristici prioritari;*
- i criteri e gli strumenti per valutare il raggiungimento degli outcome assistenziali.
Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione:
Applicare conoscenze teorico-pratiche per la gestione di device sanitari e nell’esecuzione di abilità tecniche correlate all’assistenza infermieristica a persone con specifiche diagnosi infermieristiche in ambito chirurgico specialistico.
Autonomia di giudizio:
Sviluppare la capacità di riconoscere, analizzare e valutare criticamente le diagnosi infermieristiche attraverso la discussione guidata di casi clinici e attività didattiche attive in aula.
Abilità comunicative:
Utilizzare un linguaggio tecnico e specifico per descrivere e discutere le diagnosi infermieristiche e le decisioni assistenziali pianificate, anche mediante simulazioni e lavori di gruppo.
Capacità di apprendimento:
Potenziare le abilità di apprendimento autonomo e riflessivo attraverso l’analisi di situazioni cliniche proposte, le esercitazioni pratiche e il confronto coi pari e docenti durante il corso.
Contenuti sintetici
Il modulo affronta il processo di assistenza infermieristica applicato a persone sottoposte ad un intervento chirurgico di selezionati ambiti di chirurgia specialistica
Programma esteso
Assistenza infermieristica alla persona sottoposta ad intervento di chirurgia toracica
persona sottoposta ad pneumectomia parziale/totale. Approfondimento sulla gestione del drenaggio pleurico/toracico e riconoscimento / gestione delle principali complicanze.
Assistenza infermieristica alla persona sottoposta ad intervento di chirurgia ginecologica
persona sottoposta ad intervento chirurgico di tipo ginecologico di natura benigna od oncologica. Focus sulle problematiche legate alla menopausa fisiologica e chirurgica. Approfondimenro sull'esecuzione dell’autocateterismo vescicale.
Assistenza infermieristica alla persona sottoposta ad intervento cardiochirurgico
persona sottoposta ad intervento chirurgico di rivascolarizzazione miocardia, intervento chirurgico di riparazione/sostituzione valvolare, trapianto cardiaco e/o portatore di left ventricular assist device (LVAD) (cenni), effetti della circolazione extracorporea intraoperatoria (CEC)
Approfondimento sulla gestione dei fili epicardici e sulla medicazione della ferita sternale
Assistenza infermieristica alla persona sottoposta ad intervento di chirurgia addominale
persona sottoposta a confezionamento di stomia enterica o di derivazioni urinarie. Approfondimento sulla gestione dell'apparecchiatura e gestione delle stomie enteriche/urinarie, irrigazione della colostomia. Riconoscimento e gestione delle principali complicanze.
Assistenza infermieristica alla persona sottoposta ad intervento di chirurgia urologica
persona sottoposta a nefrectomia (cenni), intervento chirurgico di resezione prostatica, chirurgia urologica nell’uomo (fimosi, varicocele, tumore testicolare, ecc). Approfondimento sull'educazione all'autoesame genitale maschile, la gestione del lavaggio vescicale continuo
Assistenza infermieristica alla persona sottoposta ad intervento di neurochirurgia
persona sottoposta a chirurgia intracranica. Approfondimento sulla rilevazione della Pressione Intracranica (PIC), gestione della derivazione ventricolare esterna (DVE) e interna (DVI) (cenni);
Assistenza infermieristica alla persona sottoposta ad intervento di otorinolaringoiatria
persona sottoposta a laringectomia totale, a tonsillectomia. Approfondimento sulla gestione della tracheostomia e riconoscimento / gestione delle principali complicanze.
Assistenza infermieristica alla persona sottoposta ad intervento di chirurgia bariatrica
persona sottoposta ad interventi di sleeve gastrectomy, bypass gastrico, diversione bilio-pancreatica, bendaggio gastrico regolabile. Approfondimento sulla dumping syndrome
Assistenza infermieristica alla persona sottoposta ad intervento di chirurgia maxillo-facciale
bambino sottoposto ad intervento per labiopalatoschisi, persona sottoposta ad intervento post trauma cranio-facciale
Prerequisiti
Definiti dal regolamento didattico.
Modalità didattica
10 lezioni da 2 ore svolte in modalità erogativa nella parte iniziale che è volta a coinvolgere gli studenti in modo interattivo e critico nella parte successiva (es. casi simulati, esercitazioni individuali e/o di gruppo, video didattici, dimostrazioni). Tutte le attività sono svolte in presenza.

By the end of the course, students will have developed:

The ability to plan nursing care by identifying priorities and adapting interventions based on the identified nursing diagnoses.

The ability to develop critical thinking and independent professional judgement to support nursing care planning, through active learning methods, case discussions, and classroom exercises.
Communication Skills
The ability to communicate and justify nursing diagnoses and related care decisions effectively and appropriately, including in interprofessional contexts, through discussion and simulation activities provided during the course.
Learning Skills
An increased awareness of individual learning needs and the ability to enhance self-directed learning through clinical case analysis, active learning strategies, and participation in practical classroom exercises.

For selected clinical scenarios in surgical specialties, describe:
- The most frequently observed clinical and care-related data
- The characteristic nursing diagnoses and related expected outcomes
- The priority nursing interventions
- The criteria and tools used to evaluate the achievement of care outcomes
Applying Knowledge and Understanding
Apply theoretical and practical knowledge in managing healthcare devices and performing technical skills related to nursing care for patients with specific nursing diagnoses in specialized surgical contexts.
Making Judgements
Develop the ability to recognize, analyze, and critically evaluate nursing diagnoses through guided discussions of clinical cases and active learning activities in the classroom.
Communication Skills
Use appropriate technical language to describe and discuss nursing diagnoses and planned care decisions, also through simulations and group activities.
Learning Skills
Improve autonomous and reflective learning skills through the analysis of proposed clinical situations, practical exercises, and peer and instructor interactions throughout the course.

The module addresses the nursing care process applied to persons undergoing surgery in selected areas of specialised surgery
Detailed program
Nursing assistance to person undergoing thoracic surgery
person undergoing partial/total pneumectomy. In-depth study on the management of pleural/thoracic drainage and recognition/management of major complications.
Nursing care of person undergoing gynaecological surgery
person undergoing gynaecological surgery of a benign or oncological nature. Focus on issues related to physiological and surgical menopause. Focus on the performance of bladder self-catheterisation.
Nursing assistance to the person undergoing cardiac surgery.
person undergoing myocardial revascularisation surgery, valvular valve repair/replacement surgery, cardiac transplantation and/or left ventricular assist device (LVAD) wearer (hint), effects of intraoperative extracorporeal circulation (ECC)
Insight into epicardial wire management and sternal wound dressing
Nursing the person undergoing abdominal surgery
person undergoing enteric ostomy or urinary diversion surgery. In-depth study of equipment management and management of enteric/urinary ostomies, colostomy irrigation, and recognition/management of major complications.
Nursing assistance to the person undergoing urological surgery
person undergoing nephrectomy (outline), prostate resection surgery, urological surgery in men (phimosis, varicocele, testicular cancer, etc.) Insight into male genital self-examination education, management of continuous bladder washing
Nursing the person undergoing neurosurgery
person undergoing intracranial surgery. Insight into Intracranial Pressure (ICP) detection, management of the external ventricular shunt (DVE) and internal ventricular shunt (DVI) (hint);
Nursing care of the person undergoing ENT surgery.
person undergoing total laryngectomy, tonsillectomy. Insight into tracheostomy management and recognition/management of major complications.
Nursing care of person undergoing bariatric surgery
person undergoing sleeve gastrectomy surgery, gastric bypass, bilio-pancreatic diversion, adjustable gastric banding. Insight into dumping syndrome
Nursing assistance to person undergoing maxillo-facial surgery
child undergoing cleft lip and palate surgery, person undergoing post craniofacial trauma surgery
Prerequisites
Defined by the academic regulations.
Teaching form
10 lessons of 2 hours each, in the initial part, which is aimed at engaging the students in an interactive way in the following part (e.g. simulated cases, individual and/or group exercises, instructional videos, demonstrations). All activities are carried out in-person.
