Lo/a studente/ssa al termine del corso:

  • comprenderà la fisiologia dell'allattamento al seno
  • acquisirà le competenze clinico assistenziali per la presa in carico del neonato in un percorso nascita fisiologico
  • sarà in grado di descrivere la fisiologia della lattazione secondo gli obiettivi di apprendimento identificati dal “Baby Friendly Initiative in University” dell’UNICEF e le caratteristiche e la fisiologia del neonato sano

Il corso fornisce allo/a studente/ssa le competenze per riconoscere il fisiologico adattamento del neonato nel periodo peripartum.

  • Presa in carico del neonato fisiologico attraverso la midwifery partnership, il midwifery management, la classificazione ICF e le scale di valutazione.
  • Caratteristiche e fisiologia dell’adattamento del neonato sano alla nascita.
  • L’accertamento ostetrico del neonato sano.
  • Gli screening obbligatori e le profilassi raccomandate.
  • Le norme e misure di sicurezza per il neonato.
  • L’introduzione dell’alimentazione complementare e la prosecuzione dell’allattamento secondo la Strategia globale per l’alimentazione dei neonati e bambini, OMS-Unicef.
  • Le fonti di sostegno all’allattamento nella comunità.
  • EGA e Pulsiossimetria neonatale.
  • Cura del neonato. Apgar 12.
  • Assistenza ostetrica al neonato con ittero.

Gli(le studenti/esse riceveranno una bibliografia dettagliata prima dell’inizio delle lezioni. Dovranno studiare il materiale ed essere valutate sull’acquisizione delle competenze di base richieste.

I semestre

Esame scritto con domande a risposta multipla e una sola risposta corretta, domande aperte brevi.
Al termine del TEST è previsto e un COLLOQUIO DI DISCUSSIONE incentrato sullo scritto e su tutti gli argoemnti del corso che può portare fino a un aumento massimo di 3 punti o a un decremento del punteggio ottenuto nell’esame scritto.

At the end of the course the student:

  • will understand the physiology of the breastfeeding
  • will be able to plan an evidence based midwifery care to the healthy newborn
  • will also be able to describe the physiological changes during breastfeeding according to the UNICEF's "Baby Friendly Initiative in University" and will be able to recognise the characteristics and physiology of the healthy newborn.

The course provides to the students the essential elements to understand the physiology about the Neonatal adaptation after birth.

The students will be able to plan and to provide an evidence base midwifery care to the newborn in accordance with the Midwifery Partnership Model, the Midwifery Management, the international Classification Functions and evaluation scales.
Characteristics and physiology of the adaptation of the healthy newborn at birth.
Midwifery assessment of the healthy newborn.
Recommended screening and prophylaxis.
The safety standard measures for the newborn.
The introduction of complementary nutrition and the continuation of breastfeeding according to the Global Strategy for the Nutrition of Infants and Children, WHO-UNICEF.
The community breastfeeding support services.

Students will receive a detailed bibliography before lessons start. They will have to study the material in order to be evaluated on the required basic skills.

16 hours of lectures , 4 hours of interctive lessons with group work and clinical discussion cases.

The teaching materials used (slides, work tracks, scientific articles) will be uploaded on the e-learning pages dedicated to the individual modules.

I semester

Written exam with multiple choise test with only one correct answer and questions with brief answers.
At the end of the TEST and a DISCUSSION COLLABORATION focusing on the written paper and all course topics, which can lead to a maximum increase of 3 points or a decrease in the mark obtained in the written examination.
