Il corso fornisce i fondamenti della ricerca in midwifery.

- Le differenze tra ricerca quantitativa e qualitativa.
- I vari disegni di studio.
- La valutazione critica di un articolo scientifico.
- La pianificazione di una ricerca.
- La metodologia PICO.
- Il Comitato Etico.
- La diffusione delle conoscenze

Modalità di verifica del profitto e valutazione
Test scritto a risposte chiuse (vero/falso, corrispondenze, scelte a risposta multiple) e domande brevi equivalenti a brevissimi saggi.
Successivamente alla prova scritta sarà previsto un colloquio di discussione sullo scritto e su tutti gli argomenti trattati a lezione che potrà confermare, aumentare o ridurre il voto della prova scritta.
Non sono previsti esami in itinere.

The course provides fundamentals of midwifery research process.

- The bibliographic research and how to quote references.
- Differences between quantitative and qualitative research.
- Various types of study designs.
- Critical evaluation of a scientific paper.
- Planning a scientific research.
- The PICO method.
- The Ethics Committee.
- Spread of knowledge.

8 Hours of lectures, 4 hours of interactive teaching with practice exercises and group works.

II semester
Assessment method
Written exam with close answers (true/false, matches, multiple choise answers) and brief open answers as very short essays.
After the write exam there will be an oral exam with discussion of the written exam and on all the topics of the lessons that will be able to confirm, increase or reduce the evaluation of the written test.
There are no examinations in progress.
