Comprendere la necessità dell'utilizzo delle banche dati per lo svolgimento della professione di fisioterapista. Conoscere le principali banche dati e saperle interrogare attraverso l'utilizzo di stringhe di ricerca coerenti con il quesito clinico.

Il modulo si propone di rendere lo studente in grado di:

1) Comprendere l'importanza della letteratura scientifica nella professione di fisioterapista

2) Conoscere le principali banche dati

3) Sviluppare una stringa di ricerca coerente con il quesito clinico

Parte prima: introduzione all’Evidence Based Practice, definizione, limiti e vantaggi, step per praticare l’Evidence-Based Practice

Parte seconda: ricerca bibliografica, definizione di quesito di ricerca e delle sue caratteristiche, formulazione di un corretto quesito di ricerca secondo il modello PICO e le sue varianti, database primari e secondari, operatori booleani, il database PubMed, il database PEDro, come reperire un full-text

Parte terza: effettuare una ricerca bibliografica: dal quesito di ricerca al download del full-text

Knowing the need to use databases for physiotherapist practice.
Knowing the main databases and how to interrogate them formulating consistent research strings

Students will be able to:

1) understand the importance of scientific literature in the physiotherapist profession

2) Know the main databases

3) Develop a search string consistent with the clinical question

Part one: introduction to Evidence-Based Practice, definition, limits and advantages, steps to practice Evidence-Based Practice

Part two: bibliographic research, definition of the research question, formulation of a correct search question according to the PICO model and its variants, primary and secondary databases, Boolean operators, the PubMed database, the PEDro database, how to find a full-text

Part three: carrying out a bibliographic search: from the research question to the full-text download
