The course provides advanced training in urban studies, focusing on the interdisciplinary contributions of sociology, anthropology, economics, geography, and urban planning. It brings together teachers, experts, and practitioners to explore the complex dynamics of urban and regional development. The program, which includes a combination of courses and seminars, examines social, cultural, economic, and spatial aspects of cities, with case studies and seminars that delve into specific urban contexts, such as those in Southern European cities, or the Global South. Together, the many components of the course aim at providing a comprehensive understanding of the role of the urban studies in the exploration of urban environments from multiple disciplinary viewpoints.
