Verranno descritti i principali approcci metodologici per le meta-analisi secondo le linee guida PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) e MOOSE (Meta-analysis of Observational Studies in Epidemiology).

  • Modelli a effetti fissi / random
  • Stima dell’eterogeneità
  • Publication bias e aspetti correlati

  • Literature search strategies and data extraction
  • Effect size measures for evidence synthesis in meta-analysis
  • Fixed-effect and random-effects models
  • Assessing and addressing heterogeneity
  • Publication bias and related issues
  • Risk of bias and quality assessment
  • Overview of statistical software for meta-analysis

The course is intended for PhD students in Neuroscience.

Lectures and practical exercises.

During the course, the instructors will provide recommended readings and bibliographic references.

2nd: May-June
