Obiettivi

Il corso si prefigge di fornire allo/alla studente/studentessa le conoscenze teoriche e applicative relative ai processi di leadership, relazione e comunicazione nei contesti sanitari. Al termine dell'insegnamento, lo/la studente/studentessa sarà in grado di utilizzare strategie comunicative efficaci, promuovere relazioni professionali positive, esercitare una leadership orientata alla collaborazione e alla gestione dei gruppi di lavoro e favorire processi decisionali e organizzativi finalizzati al miglioramento della qualità dell'assistenza.

Contenuti sintetici

Fondamenti della leadership e della comunicazione nelle organizzazioni sanitarie. Comunicazione interpersonale e organizzativa. Relazione professionale con pazienti, caregiver e team multiprofessionali. Comunicazione efficace, gestione dei conflitti, negoziazione e processi decisionali. Leadership relazionale e sviluppo dei gruppi di lavoro.

Programma esteso

Il corso approfondirà i principali modelli teorici della leadership e della comunicazione applicati ai contesti sanitari. Saranno analizzati i processi della comunicazione verbale e non verbale, le modalità di ascolto attivo, il feedback, la comunicazione assertiva e la comunicazione in situazioni complesse. Verranno affrontati i temi della relazione di aiuto, della comunicazione con il paziente e la famiglia, della collaborazione interprofessionale e della gestione dei team. Saranno inoltre approfonditi la gestione dei conflitti, la negoziazione, la motivazione, la gestione delle comunicazioni, i processi decisionali condivisi e il ruolo della leadership nella promozione del benessere organizzativo, della sicurezza delle cure, della cultura della qualità e del cambiamento organizzativo.

Aims

The course aims to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge related to leadership processes, professional relationships, and communication within healthcare settings. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to apply effective communication strategies, promote positive professional relationships, exercise collaborative leadership, manage work teams, and support decision-making and organizational processes aimed at improving the quality of care.

Contents

Foundations of leadership and communication in healthcare organizations. Interpersonal and organizational communication. Professional relationships with patients, caregivers, and multiprofessional teams. Effective communication, conflict management, negotiation, and decision-making processes. Relational leadership and team development.

Detailed program

The course explores the main theoretical models of leadership and communication applied to healthcare contexts. Students will examine verbal and non-verbal communication processes, active listening strategies, feedback, assertive communication, and communication approaches in complex situations. The course addresses the principles of the helping relationship, communication with patients and families, interprofessional collaboration, and team management. Particular attention will be given to conflict management, negotiation, motivation, communication management, shared decision-making processes, and the role of leadership in promoting organizational well-being, patient safety, a culture of quality, and organizational change. Students will also explore relational leadership approaches aimed at strengthening teamwork, enhancing professional collaboration, and supporting effective healthcare organizations.
