The final examination for obtaining the degree consists of the presentation of a thesis that has been originally developed by the student under the guidance of a supervisor, focusing on topics related to economics, business, mathematical-statistical sciences, including advanced computational models, sciences such as biology, chemistry, physics, and geology, and legal-social disciplines, chosen from the topics covered in the curriculum of the master's degree program.
The thesis, written and discussed in English, will address a subject related to the experimental, theoretical, and/or computational work carried out during the internship in the areas mentioned above. Part of the preparation for the final exam may be carried out during the internship and orientation activities.
The final exam aims to assess the student's ability to analyze and master the topic, present its key aspects, and publicly present and discuss it in English in front of a committee with clarity, competence, and critical thinking.
