Transfer
Students transferring from another master's degree program, or students who have withdrawn, been disqualified, or hold another master's degree, must request an evaluation of their academic career to verify the adequacy of their personal preparation and the possession of the curricular requirements. The Teaching Coordination Council of the Program will decide on the full or partial recognition of the courses already completed based on a proposal from the Commission appointed by it.
In the case of a transfer from another master's degree program belonging to the LM-76 class, the portion of credits related to the same scientific-disciplinary sector directly recognized to the student cannot be less than 50% of the credits already earned (DM March 16, 2007).
Recognition of ECTS Credits for Professional Activities
Universities can recognize as university credits the professional knowledge and skills individually certified according to the applicable regulations, as well as other knowledge and skills acquired through post-secondary level training activities in which the university has participated in the design and implementation, up to a maximum of 24 ECTS credits in total between Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. This recognition is subject to approval by the Teaching Coordination Council based on a proposal from the Commission appointed by it. -

The final examination for obtaining the degree consists of the presentation of a thesis that has been originally developed by the student under the guidance of a supervisor, focusing on topics related to economics, business, mathematical-statistical sciences, including advanced computational models, sciences such as biology, chemistry, physics, and geology, and legal-social disciplines, chosen from the topics covered in the curriculum of the master's degree program.
The thesis, written and discussed in English, will address a subject related to the experimental, theoretical, and/or computational work carried out during the internship in the areas mentioned above. Part of the preparation for the final exam may be carried out during the internship and orientation activities.
The final exam aims to assess the student's ability to analyze and master the topic, present its key aspects, and publicly present and discuss it in English in front of a committee with clarity, competence, and critical thinking.

Before starting the thesis work, students must have submitted the thesis project and obtained approval from the Teaching Coordination Council to carry out the thesis, which can be done internally, externally, or in collaboration with external organizations.
By the deadlines set by the Student Office, students must submit an abstract in English (maximum of 5 pages each) in electronic format to the Teaching Office of the degree program. The Commission evaluates the discussed thesis as well as the grade proposed by the supervising professor. The educational path includes an internship (6 ECTS) in the second year, which aims to provide the student with the opportunity to acquire applied, technical, communicative, and critical analysis skills related to the knowledge gained during the study program. These skills are acquired through experimental and computational training activities, as well as through in-depth bibliographic research, aimed at developing investigations in the field of environmental sustainability in various contexts and acquiring the ability to analyze and present the results obtained. The internship can be internal or external. The activity is carried out by students under the guidance of a tutor. The activity usually leads to the preparation of the Master's thesis for the final exam under the guidance of a supervisor.
The recognition of ECTS is subject to the achievement of the educational objectives by the students. Only in the case of a positive evaluation students will earn the corresponding credits.
